Founded in 1985, Advisors Assistant Holdings, Inc. has provided software for the financial services industry for over 30 years.

The focus of the company has been to provide software and support to users of our primary product, Advisors Assistant. Advisors Assistant is a contact management, CRM, portfolio management and insurance tracking application designed to allow registered representatives, insurance agents, and financial planners to track clients, prospects, and financial products.

We’ve provided toll free technical support since 1985. This has a very definite effect on the design of our software because ease of use is always a primary consideration. If we don’t make our program easy to use, we pay for the support call, not you.

Advisors Assistant Holdings is a user driven company. Ideas for enhancements come from users, the best judges of what’s needed for the software. G. Michael Phillips, Ph.D. (Chief Scientist & CEO)

Econometrician and finance professor Michael Phillips has lead the development of MacroRisk’s patented and proprietary analytical tools since the beginning. An author of dozens of scholarly articles and monographs, Dr. Phillips also brings real-world experience to the table. He has been employed as a U.S. Department of Commerce economist and as a consultant to numerous corporations and financial institutions, both on Wall Street and ‘Main Street.’ In addition, he has served many times as an expert witness in federal and state courts regarding financial, economic, and statistical issues. He has degrees in mathematics and economics, and received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. Besides his role with MacroRisk Analytics, Dr. Phillips serves as Professor of Finance, Financial Planning, and Insurance at the College of Business and Economics of California State University, Northridge, where he also is the Director of the Center for Financial Planning & Investment.

Bill Jennings, Ph.D. (Chief Investment Strategist)

Bill Jennings was one of the three original members of the development team. From 2006 to summer 2013 he limited his involvement with Macrorisk Analytics and C4cast while serving as Dean of the College of Business and Economics, Vice President of University Advancement, and Foundation President at California State University, Northridge. Since leaving his University administrative roles, Dr. Jennings has returned to active involvement with MacroRisk Analytics as the Chief Investment Strategist and member of the C4cast Board of Directors. Dr. Jennings is the author of numerous scholarly publications and has extensive experience in institutional investment management. He is also the founding professor of one of the largest student-managed investment portfolios in the country. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Robert Neff (Chief Financial Officer)

Robert Neff has served as c4cast’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer since June, 2008. Previously, he served as Chief Administrative Officer and Assistant Secretary since February, 2000. Prior to joining c4cast, Mr. Neff held positions in accounting and financial management for several companies. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and holds a B.S. in accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Steve Klein (Chief Technology Officer)

Computer scientist Steve Klein was an integral member of the original MacroRisk Analytics development team, and remains involved as a board member and technology strategist. Mr. Klein’s experience in the computer industry is extensive. As a founder and board member of The Games Network, his team developed the first commercial high-speed cable modem in 1981. More recently, he founded Singular Solutions, Inc., a developer of award-winning commercial software and hardware products. He received his B.S. in engineering from the California Institute of Technology and pursued additional graduate studies in computer science at the University of California, Los Angeles.

FinaMetrica

FinaMetrica specialises in risk tolerance and investment suitability matters. The FinaMetrica risk profiling system is based on a psychometric test of personal financial risk tolerance. Psychometrics, a blend of psychology and statistics, is the scientific discipline for testing attributes such as risk tolerance. Launched in 1998, the system is now used by 5,500 advisors in 23 countries in seven languages. To date, more than 850,000 tests have been completed.
